Okay. I am a day late. Will you forgive me? It was an honest mistake, I really meant to do this yesterday!
These headbands are everywhere these days, and there is no question why! They are so cute!
So here is just another way that you can make this fabulous headband…or as I call it Hair Ring. Get it? Like as in my last name is Herring? This is where you LOL!
You will want to download all three files:
The great thing about this headband is that you can make it as shown above, solid with finished edges, you can make it solid with raw edges, or you can make it pieced with finished or raw edges. So many options! The flowers are glued to an alligator clip that is slipped into a small button hole in the headband, so they come out easily. You can use any flower or bow or other embellishment on a clip. Perhaps you already have one that would work! Here is a picture of the raw edge version:
I must apologize for the next picture. It is a photo of the headband while it was still in the development stage, but it is the only one I have of the pieced version. So ignore the edges (I had to cut it down after it was sewn to get the look I wanted) and just look at how cute and piece-y it is.
So anyway, enjoy! I hope you make lots of Hair Rings. Feel free to copy the pattern and share it, or better yet, send people here to get one for themselves. The fabric in these pictures is Love Birds from Riley Blake Fabrics (of course!).
Tomorrow the truck arrives with Sweet Divinity! I feel a little bit like I did as a kid on Christmas eve. My stomach keeps doing this weird little jig. Can't wait!
