What a great day! My strike offs came on Friday. It was so fun to see my designs on actual fabric! I won’t be making anything out of them because there isn’t enough, but it doesn’t matter! I am so excited to see it in person. It is very interesting to see and participate in each step of the process. We made notes and wrote changes (eek!) on the fabric and sent it back to the factory for “repairs”. Soon we will get another set of strike offs to approve or change. I am so excited for the day when it is on the bolt and in my hands!!!
Seeing my strike offs was a great start to a great weekend. I L-O-V-E summer. Especially with my kids. They are the perfect age to do fun things with. They had a birthday party to attend at the local children’s museum. It is an amazing place for kids and adults.
This amazing color wheel is at the entrance. You can spin it and the colors rotate to make different colors. I could have played with it ALL day. You all know how much I love color!
Just outside the museum was the chalk art festival. Another all day activity for me! Too bad the whole family didn’t feel that way.
I think it would be great fun to do a chalk drawing. Maybe next year? It has been a LONG time since I worked with chalks, though. Maybe it is like riding a bicycle and you never forget? The funny thing about that saying is, though, I think it only applies to bicycles.
I hope you are having a colorful week!
