I love red. Really, though, who doesn’t like red? I think that it is one of the most used colors. The easiest (and one of the most common) color schemes is red and green. But red and green are only for Christmas, right? Au contraire! Look around and you will see what I mean.
So here are some cool things about red…
Red evokes strong emotions. Red is associated with love, warmth, and comfort. Red is also considered an intense, or even angry, color that creates feelings of excitement or intensity.
Being surrounded by red may make your heart beat faster. It is the perfect color to use to get people excited. Wearing red makes you appear a bit heavier, but you will get noticed!
Red symbolizes life and is the color associated with our hearts. That’s why we love red roses and red boxes filled with chocolates. It is also associated with bravery, purity, happiness, good luck, heat, energy and blood.
This color was the easiest to come up with phrases for…redneck, red-hot, red-handed, paint the town red, seeing red, red cent, red in the face, red ribbon, red carpet.
The red shoes was one of my favorite movies when I was young. I wanted desperately to be a ballerina and the thought of red pointe shoes? OH! To die for. Even still, I would love a pair. What in the world would I do with them? Certainly not dance. I would seriously injure myself and possibly others in the general vicinity. But still *sigh*. By the way, I have as many pairs of red shoes (not the dancing type) as I do black ones. How about you? What is your favorite red accessory, fabric, lipstick…
